How can I get a new water connection?
Clear the existing bills in the plot/land or bills on any other existing contracts with MAWASCO.
Get a new application form and fill in details
Attach a Photocopy of the applicant’s ID and KRA PIN. In the case of a company attach certified copies of KRA PIN and Certificate of Incorporation.
Attach Copy of Lease Agreement /Tenancy Agreement/ Title Deed/County government license.
Forward the form plus other attachments to our customer care desk and you will be advised accordingly
What is the cost of a new water connection?
Application form – kshs 100.00
Deposit – 1,500.00-50,000.00 depending on connection category
Connection fee- 1,000.00
How long does it take to get reconnected after having been disconnected?
Your connection shall be reconnected within 8 hours after confirmation of payment
However, it is important that you notify us after you make payment so as to be booked for reconnection
How can I pay my bills?
You can pay your bills through M-pesa pay bill number 321450, Post offices countrywide or through family bank/agents.

Can I read my own meter?
We encourage customers to make it a habit of doing so. This not only helps you to monitor your water usage but also certify whether you are being billed accurately.

What is the procedure of closing my water account?
Give a 24 hour notice of your intention to vacate
Pay kshs 200.00 for cut off at owners’ request
Water disconnected and final bill produced
Pay final bill and receive clearance certificate
Fill deposit refund form
How do I know that my meter has been read?
Immediately you receive your bill, check on your consumption. Confirm immediately from the meter what the current reading is and contact our customer care center if there is a discrepancy.
What is the procedure for change of tenancy?
Apply/download change of tenancy form and fill inrequisite details
Attach Photocopy of ID and KRA PIN. In case of a company attach certified copies of KRA PIN and Certificate of Incorporation.
