NOTE: Special groups comprises of enterprises owned by Youth, Women and Persons with disability.

They MUST be duly registered by the Directorate of Procurement at the National or County Treasury and should proof the same by attaching a valid certificate of registration in their registration documents. Special groups may choose to apply for registration in categories open to the public. However, all applications for categories open to public will be subject to the same evaluation criteria.

Bidders required to meet a specific condition as outlined in the notice must adhere to the same and attach relevant documents as required. Failure to do so may result to disqualification.

Registration Documents should be downloaded free of charge from our website www.mawasco.co.ke Applicants who download the registration documents should email their names, contact details and registration number to info@mawasco.co.ke . Those wishing to be registered in more than one category will require to download documents for each category.

The Company reserves the right to accept or reject any application for registration in part or in whole. Any canvassing whatsoever will render the prospective bidder ineligible for participation.

Mathira Water and Sanitation Company Ltd invites interested eligible bidders, to apply for tenders and registration of suppliers for various goods, works and services, for 2020-2021 financial year. Special groups (Youth, Women and Persons with Disabilities) are encouraged to apply for the categories reserved for them, as well as the open categories. They MUST be duly registered by the Directorate of Procurement at the National or County Treasury and should proof the same by attaching a valid and relevant certificate of registration (AGPO) in their tender/registration documents.

No indication of identity of the bidder should be given on the envelopes. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the documents received will be subjected to quarantine and shall remain in the sealed tender box until opening, which will be done on different dates and times as instructed to bidders in Section IV of tender/registration documents. Opening will be done at the company’s board room in the presence of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend. During bid opening, public health guidelines on prevention of COVID-19 will be strictly adhered to.

Mathira Water and Sanitation Company (MAWASCO) limited has applied for financing from the World Bank towards the cost of REHABILITATION OF KARATINA URBAN WATER SUPPLY NETWORK and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments of the contracts listed below.
