Tips on Saving Water
Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth
Fix a dripping tap
Take a shorter shower
Turn off the tap when washing dishes. Scrape dirty dishes into the trash-then put them in the sink.
Monitor your water usage on your water meter by regularly taking your own readings
Fix minor leaks around your compound
Flush with less water by using modern water flushing systems
Stop water overflow e.g. by installing a ball valve, installing an automatic water level controller e.t.c.
Clean fruits & vegetables in a bowl instead of running water
Avoid using running water while washing utensils/laundry or backyard
Use your water meter to check for hidden water leaks by monitoring if it is registering while water is not in use
